I read about this in SFX magazine last year and waited for it to show up on cable. It did but on the FX channel which I only started getting after series 1 was halfway through, so I went out and bough the DVD boxset from Forbidden Planet yesterday. The review in SFX said it was brilliant and kind of off-kilter, David Lynch style, Twin Peaks madness set in 1930's dustbowl America, battle between light and darkness. How couls I resist? Anyhoo, started watching ep1, nice slow, easy pace, just enough to get you into the characters. Ok I'll watch the next one as well, then 4 hours later at about 2 in the morning I managed to switch it off for the good of my mental health. Excellent.

Despair

These have to be the coolest calenders ever. I have ordered one for my office and am strongly considering ordering another 10 or so and covertly installing them in the other bank offices

Sick Bored and Very Pissed Off
The reason I have just managed to dump all the new pics on is that I am off work ill with the cold (I'm actually fairly sure its Avian Bird Flu but I have been known to mis-diagnose in the past). I went into work on monday but felt so spectacularly ill I left after 2 hours and have not been back since (its Thursday today). I have left the house twice since then (to get more bloody Lemsip), and to go to the video shop ("The Grudge" is ok "Saw" is brilliant "Old Boys" is an excellent Korean film that has some deeply weird bits in and "Spartan" with Val Kilmer is truely shit).
I have also watched some mindblowingly shite TV (Die Dr Phil, Die), and have been call 5 times by Zenith-bastard-windows who are determined that I will buy some replacement windows from them. I have been nice ("thanks but no thanks at the moment. take care. bye"), I have been polite but firm ("no thank you, please take me off your calling list"), I have been truthfull but rude ("i'm off work ill at the moment - piss off"), and I have lied outright to them ("no, I rent the flat so I can't actually replace the windows") but nothing seems to work. Next time I'll just leave the call open, put the phone on mute and not say anything, as someone told me they cant actually disconnect without me hanging up. See if that teaches them. doubt it. bastards.
Steady.........steady......
I'm leaning back casually in the chair..........posing cooly for the photo..........and about to overbalance and fall on my arse
Fortunately I managed to catch the edge of the table with my foot. You dont want to go over backwards while wearing a kilt.
Trust me.
You have to practice for ages to pull of that look................sorry I meant you have to drink for ages to pull off that look.

Soooooooo Tempting
Its hard to tell from the pic but this is a 3 foot tall solid pewter model of the dark one. It was reduced from £699 to £399, and they also had Boba Fett in stock with another 3 charachters coming in soon. How I restrained myself I will never know, but I may have to avoid going to Ely for the rest of my life just to be on the safe side.
